Default Tropical Tank

I have a tropical fish tank that is up and running with heater and filter and uv light all set up, just dont have any fish in there yet as my mom hasnt got round to it yet. I currently have my turtles seperated as 1 has an R.I, he is in a tank but its not as big as the tropical 1 i have set up, would this be ok or would i have to replace water and clean it?

Well they need water so a fish tank would be suitable for a turtle or am i looking after the wrong species, my question is not about spreading disease, ( i have seperated them so it cannot spread), my question is would a turtle be ok in the water that is for tropical fish or would i need to change the water?

i keep my turtle with tropical fish, so its either a turtle tank with fish in or a fish tank with a turtle in, either way both the fish and turtle are living in the same water and both are thriving

Was your setup for the turtle and the fish were added or was it the other way around?

Its just plain water, as long as it has been treated, and it is fine for fish then it should be fine for turtles.

It'll be fine as long as you have the usual basking spot and lamps set up, you don't need to change the water.
