this is my first year for hibrnation and i am in 2 minds i dont want to do anythign wrong and harm the tort long term,if you kow what i mean,squirt our youngest russian is fine to hibernate clean bill of health but tank he is another story ,out of them both it would be tank i dont hibernate as hes had a few problems i dont know netty what do you think?

well iv herd that if your tort isent helthy then you must not hibernate it im not hibernateing my horsefeild as im new to torts

i wil b hibernating squirt the youngest but not tank,i dint think although he is picking up now and feeding more so fingers crossed but i am scared about doing it andy is quite confident tho,

has anybody seen the new herp nursery incubator? it doubles as a fridge for hibernating. i saw it and thought it was a great idea. the reviews sound good too.

thats about the cheapest you will get it too. have looked around as my mum will have her torts this summer so i need to start preparing her for hibernating them.

just struck me as such a clever idea, with it being dual purpose it can be used much more efficiently than a fridge and seperate bator!

hey just looking at it now it looks ok actually dont it may have to invest in one if i get my females not badly priced either for a combi

quite a few of the lizard section have one and the temps are pretty steady, a very small fluctuation but completely within the acceptable parameters.
