Just another random stupid question, but can Tortoise swim? I just assume they cant, but crazier things have happened.

Well they would have too otherwise they would not of got to the volcanic islands. But I would not recommend that anybody put their pet in the bath they will not enjoy it and it may drown.

hi leopard tortoises swim i have seen video's of one swimming across a waterhole in africa and also of a pet swimming in a pool and i myself have seen hatchlings and juveniles swim in a deep tub.

Many tortoises can swim. The Aldabra and Galapagos tortoises are well documented swimmers.

don't take this as gospel but from what i remember (not that i was around at the time) but the tortoise and turtle were pretty much the same animal and were both land dwelling and aquatic. Some decided to stay on land and some preferred the water so as they evolved and time moved on they because land dwellers (tortoise) and aquatic (turtle) so i'd say that they would be able to..

not sure what program i saw that on.
