Default Lucky Reptile ThermoControl PRO11. List of contents requested. Box been opened.

Hi,
I am a new member.
I have just purchased a Lucky Reptile ThermoControl PRO11 thermostat, having seen the glowing recommendations for it on this site.
When it finally arrived the box had been opened. The instructions and guarantee were missing. I have no idea if anything else was missing. Before I tackle the seller I want to know what should be included.
As some of you have this model perhaps you could tell me.
All I found was a black plug box connected by 4 inches of black cable to a box with two plugs and a lcd display which has TC2-PROUK on it.

Second question:
Because my other thermostat a Microclimate model B2 broke and I had to wait so long for this one to arrive (7 days) I have been unable to regulate the temperature inside my incubator, which has been fluctuating from 31 degrees to 34 degrees over a 7 day period. I am incubating tortoise eggs: Testudo Graeca Ibera. The eggs were half way through their incubation period. My question is this; if the eggs hatch are the babies likely to be deformed? Will the eggs be affected by the fluctuating temperatures?

I would appreciate any help and advice from my fellow tortoise enthusists.
Thankyou, yours in anticipation, Mad-Friend.

i have a tc2 pro. its a great stat, i use it ony royal python stack. all it should have in the box is the stat and all of the wires already connected. you will need to get some euro adaptors unless your supplier had agreed to send them with your new stat. the instructions can be found on the lucky reptile website in the support area. you can download the manual and if i am not mistaken, a form to fill in for the warranty aswell, just attach your proof of purchase.

i am not too sure about the high temps at that stage, i do know that high temps can cause birth deffects and other similar problems. one of the others may know more.

Hi and welcome to RFUK. I don't have first hand experience of breeding but have been reading up this week on it and have read that if the temps are over 35degs C then you stand more chance of deformed hatchlings so if your temps haven't gone above 34degs C then they should be okay. Sex is determined around 15 to 30 days after laying so as high temps usually have an incubation time of between 55 to 70 days and your temps were between 31 and 34 you should still be in the temp range for females.

As said thought this is just based on what I've read but I'm sure one of the experienced breeders will be able to answer you more fully.

Hello tinkerbruce and Tina,
thankyou both for your replies and advice, it is much appreciated.

I'll check out the website and as for the eggs, will let you know around the 1st week of July what has happened with the tortoise eggs.
Wish me luck.

Thankyou for welcoming me. I wish I had known about this site before. I think it is a FAB site with some very knowledgable people.

Best wishes, Mad-Friend.
