i run a pet shop and specialize in turtles.

when i got back from Dublin at the weekend my partner had taken in a baby ybs it was about 2-3 months old I'd say, it had the worst case of soft shell i have ever heard of or seen!!

i had trouble even picking the poor thing up it must of been in so much pain. i tried to make it eat but the poor thing was lifeless i sat up with it all sat night and made arrangements to take the poor thing to the vets today!

i never got the chance at 2.30am i lost her i'm totally guttered and writing this makes me feel upset!! ONCE AGAIN it was a turtle bought from ****** they sold the lady a 1ft tank, no lighting, no filter, and told all she had to feed it was blood worm!! this is at least the 6th person I've had to help and the worse case. i think it also had R&i!!

i call for anyone in doncaster to boycott ********* even for plants, pond stuff anything!! they don't even have a UV in there tanks or proper filtration! the last time i went he told me they don't need a UV because he sells them so quick!

i feel so mad about them i feel like going in and recking the shop and them. this isn't the only place with bad turtle practise in ***** is just as bad!!

Poor thing, It makes you wonder how these people are allowed to sell animals when the conditions they keep them in are so bad.

I am truly sorry to hear your sad story and totally understand why you are so cross but would ask you please not to name the shop(s) involved on thread. Your best course of action is to speak to the shop directly about your concerns or contact the appropriate local council who issue the Pet Shop Licence to these premises and make a complaint to them.

Not a good post... Very unprofessional. One business slagging off another in the same field... does the industry need that???

You might have contacted the other shop as a professional courtacy... unless it is a competator.

i don't sell turtles just the equipment and its online and buy in! my main trade is fruit & veg and pet food dog, cat etc!!

i don't need to slag other shops off and i apologies to the mods! people come to me because of them, i could keep my mouth shut and keep the trade! all that i say is truthful! make your own minds up! i care what happens to each turtle not just what profit it can make me!
