Are you talking North American or Central American Wood turtles... Their care is similar but different in that the NA wood turtle is more cold tolerant.

Ive bred Central American Wood Turtles (Rhinoclemmys puntularia).Big viv with good ventilation, large tray of water (cat litter tray etc).Kept on orchid bark and sprayed once a day for humidity.Fed mixed leaves, mixed fruit and their favourite-whole bags of pink mice. They absolutely adored these and would run down the viv to get to them.
