i feel obliged to comment.

Be careful what you buy at Hamm. I got a Hermanns and lets just say, he turned out to be in very bad health and died early Spring. There are a lot of bad quality Tortoises knocking about, and CITES papers with pictures on that aren't actually the tort you're buying.

Just be aware of this

Can you just buy animals and bring them back? Do they not need to go into quarantine for 6 months or anything?
Obviouslt with they way everyone is talking you can, but how do you get them back?

only mammals are covered y the 6 month quarantine as rabies doesnt exist in reptiles ( at least i dont think so....) so aslong as you have any relevant documents for cites, and can get them back into the countryt the correct way, in a vision box with certs attached, then its fine.

and as for the bad health of torts I dont think anybody can dispute that some torts die as a result of intensive farming methids andpoor general care . Thats why it always pays to make sure that you fully research ANY person that you plan to buy from, with any animal. an impulse buy often ends in disaster and i have already started looking for any potential tortoise, beardy and royal breeders that will be at hamm and/or houten. And the first thing i will be doing with ANY animal i buy, the same with ANY uk bred animal i buy, is getting a vet check and full screening done.
