Nice snapper. If you find out what you have(and I find out what I have) If they are compatible, Id be more than happy to 'pimp' mine out

Yeah 50/50 on hatchlings is good, lots of research needed. I think mines a florida snapper(yours probably will be aswell, due to the import ban of commons several years ago), though i cant positively id it until i get a digi camera

florida snappers have spikey tubercles on their necks, and commons have bumps

your going to have a long wait for these to be at breed able size and can i ask why you want to breed there are to many turtles in rehoming centres without adding to them, i have two adult snappers here that were dumped when the owners couldnt cope with them any more.

Why do you care?

That is breeding size.

People are always banging on about uk captive bred animals, even talk about captive breeding snappers in the uk, and it comes up for scrutiny
Ever so sorry to hear about your snappers that needed rehoming, if I lived closer Id gladly take them off your hands!
People often are looking for them on the classifieds, which is where I found mine. I understand there was a few other people interested in him, so there are people out there who have taste
