Default Help please!!!

Please help me someone!!! I have had a red footed tortoise for almost a year now and she is very healthy except today I went to feed her and I picked her up and noticed 3 little cuts on her neck. They almost look like scratches or cracks from dry skin. She has water all the time so I am not sure if it is dry skin or not. Please can someone help me or tell me what to do? I am very concerned for her.

does she have a regular bath time? is there any sharp edges of shell around the same area? a little chaffing is not unusual and dry skin will build up if there isnt enough humidity and moisture. maybe give her a bath every day and keep her humidty up a ittle more and see how it goes? sorry i cant be more specific. what is on the floor in her home? soil or sand, or wood chips? do you spray it daily? could any predators like cats have gotten in there?

A photo would be most helpful...

If there is no blood or moistness associated with the cracks I would suspect that it is normal shedding of the skin.

If they are truely cuts I would suggest a vet visit so as to determine the cause.
