I was just about to start medicating a leopard of mine... one of the last wild caught's I have. She is about 2kg and 12 inches in length... very light for her size. She is still active and eating although she has never thrived in the 5 or so years I've had her.

This post made me rethink my actions...

I recently noticed a gurgling noise in her... I thought URI... I need to do something. There is no runny nose and there is no other indications. Then I realized that she has always had this.

Well... It's going to cost me some time and money but it's off to the vet I go. Just to find out because of curiosity... I'll keep yall posted but it is going to be a while.

It could very well be the case... the tortoise I mention showed this symptom now that we are having very hot and humid weather... but there is no runny nose.

In your case... if the tortoise is eating, active and not nasal discharge... no worries.
