I think you need to think long and hard about this. I remember you didnt have much room for a tortoise back then. Im not saying dont have one but you quickly gave up your red foots.

No, its not room at all. It was the fact that, when i got the reds, i was able to have heating outdoor accomodation, but now i cant. So i feel that it isnt fair to keep a tortoise inside, so i rehomed them! As i cannot always be home when it gets dark, to put them away into the indoor accomodation. & reds shouldnt really sleep outside in the uk do to the weather being so crap, so i didnt wish them too incase it caused them anyharm

It was simply like that Sarah. Not because i didnt have the space.

Honestly... identical habitat requirements. Both thrive in transition zones from grassland to forrest.

Now... if they are both wild caught... there might be a problem.

The odds are that one or the other is wild caught... not a good mix.

If you got 2 straight out of the egg and you could be certain... there wouldn't be a problem until... the RF outgrew the Star... then a problem might arrise.

Why would a problem arise?

A problem would arise if one was a wild caught and the other was not. The wild caught would introduce pathogens that the othar did not have.

that woudl be the main problem.
