out of all of our animals the only ones with "fixed" names are the dogs, a royal python and a beardy. the others tend to have a name change depending on who is talking about them. the torts , baby beardies, geckos and others have atleast 2/3 names each because of my OH and the kids. i keep my records with ID numbers as opposed to with individual names though. I reckon the names are more for the kids.

If i do name an animal i try to chose soemthing that fits the personality of the creature. i once had an iguana called Freud, a royal called baldrick and a water dragon called pingpong. And my rotty bitch is called Tinkerbell ( stinkerbelly from the land of lickalot) and my male is called brucei bumblebum. And before you say it Ed, i am not cruel! the names fit the animals.....

Its funny Ed, i have never spoken to you but i have a feeling our sense of humours are pretty alike. I think i get you, where alot of other feel a bit confused by your drollness. Or read too much into it. I have to say i am quite looking forward to meeting you, i have a feeling it will be memorable.

and admit it, you probably DO think i am cruel for calling a rotty tinkerbell......she also has a pink collar with shiny bones on it!

Drollness????

My rottie has a pink flea coller... I felt so totally guilty of placing that on her.

maybe thats a poor choice of word. You speak your mind and it comes across in a way that makes me smile. I havent actually read any of your posts that i havent understood, they all seem perfectly sane on balance ( even when others cant see it) and i like the fact that you make me think, but with a smile at the same time.

and as for admitting guilt about a pink flea collar, Shhhh...... people will start to think you have feelings! whats your dogs name? is it something typically rottyish? like luga or Attila?
