Thank you guys you have all reassured me that i am doing the right things!!!!

He is really active & so funny. He has such a great little personality though is stubborn at times. He loves his bath and will play outside for hours after a warm bath......

I have tried the t-rex food a number of occasion but he just doesn't seem to like it. He will only eat it if it has been mixed with some cabbage and weeds.

All i veg i give him is fully organic. My dad has his own allotment and and brings weeds and veg home for Harold!!!

hi horsfield are greedy tortoises and normally will eat until they pop lol i prefer a mixed weed diet as they are a greedy tort lots of coarse fibrous weeds like ribwort and hoary plantain if you google images they are in there, hawkbit and smooth sowthistle are growing at the moment and of course dandelion .i avoid brassica like cabbage and cauli because it contains oxalic acid and although they dont contain vast quantities it is best avoided and certainly not to be used as a staple diet.tortoise pellets are expensive and i have never used them so in all fairness cant comment further on their suitability but with a little research and time spent picking you can feed your tortoise a healthy well balanced diet for free.i currently keep 65 tortoises the largest being a 40lb leopard tortoise if i can manage to feed mine it cant be that difficult.

Teery it sounds like you must have your hands full with all those Tortoises!!!!

I am going to read up ( i have everal books!!) and the care sheets on here.

Tomorrow and the rest of the week i am going to do with Ed and try him on the formula. He will also be able to nibble on the wild clover growing in the garden and the geraniums so he won't go hungry if he doesn't eat it.

I will keep you all posted on how it goes!!

Does it really matter, if she doesnt want to feed it to her tortoise she doesnt have too.

There are plenty of fresh alternatives available.

I've been using the t-rex box turtle diet for the last two years on a bunch of turtles.

The current tortoise diet is very similar to the diet I currnetly use.

T-rex is coming out with a diet that is identical to the diet I use.

You're point?

my point is ED

the point is that you keep recommending a diet that you havn't personally used so you don't have personal evidence to back up telling people to use it do you
