Default Finding a small size tortoise, need advice plz

Sorry for my poor english

I'm looking for a small size tortoise, anyone plz give me some advice.

Does a male Horsfield tortoise is a good choice? I heard that it is a small specie (I prefer the size less than 5 inch )

I can find a Hermani boettgeri but it is said that it can get bigger than 7 inch

Anyways, thanks for your help!

males are smaller than the females
when you say small sized tortoise it depends on the way you will be keeping it reli
HORSFIELDS _
Males grow to an adult size of 160mm (6.5"), where as the females are larger measuring 200mm (8"). i think,

your normal average herman will grow larget than the horsfield
Adult Herman's Tortoises can reach sizes of around 15 - 20cm (for T. hermanni hermanni) and up to 25cm (for T. hermanni boettgeri). Males are always smaller than females.
no matter what tortoise you get wether it be a hatchling or adult its going to need plenty of room for excercise.
have you looked into the 2 species? and what do you intend keeping them in?
i would recomend you use a tort table,as you have more controll over the temps in ther,
i hope this helped you

i think my sizes are right 2:S

The really small tortoises are very hard (impossible) to get hold of - ie Egyptian, specked padloper. Your best bet is the Western Hermanns (Testudo hermanni hermanni)

Not the western hermanns - it's a small sub species native to Italy and southern france.
