Excuse my ignorance but whats a THB?
They are lovely little critters, I'm looking at getting my first tort soon and I'm in Canterbury so your good and close, any of sellable age?
Working on my set up at the moment, was very pleased to discover that people use underbed drawers, saved me a few quid.

THB is the species "testudo hermanni boetgerri". Testudo is the family name, hermanni is the species, and boetgerri is the sub-species. The other hermanns is the "testudo hermanni hermanni". and some tortoises are not testudo but geochelone. i keep "geochelone pardalis babcocki + geocheleone pardalis pardalis" ( leopard tortoise). lots of people shorten it as there is just so many sub species about.

Thanks for that, really informative!
Hermann is the advised starter species yeah? Does the sub-species make such difference?
