Default Spurs?

First of all let me get it out of my system - WAHOOO I HAVE THE INTERNET BACK!!!! I have missed this forum soooo much!!!

Right lets get down to the question....

As some of you may remember i bought a year old horsfield back in May (i decided to call "her" Mona as suggested by someone on here to go with my male Donatello), now the question is...

Are baby horsfield's supposed to have spurs?

I originally found one website that said they do before we moved but since we've been re-connected to the internet i can't find it!!

My other tortoise was a lot older when i bought him so i have little experience with babies.

Please tell me "she" isn't a cross-species!!

Hi, nice to see you back. Hope your torts are doing well.

Horsfields have a horny tip on the end of their tail, like Hermanns do but not as large, they also have enlarged scales (tubercles) on their rear thighs either side of the tail... could that be what you're confusing with spurs?

That would probably be it, she has tiny little 'spikes' either side of her tail on her thighs as you say.

Thanks for putting my mind to rest after all this time!! I feel kinda silly now hehe!
