Default Question regarding calcium

Does the nutribul stuff have calcium in it? Or do i need to get an extra supplement to add to his greens for caclium intake? Or will the cuttlefish type thing Ive given him do for this?

Also out of interest, how do they get extra calcium when in the wild?

in the wild the natural forage they eat is higher in calcium. down to the soil in drier climates apparently.

If a tortoise is growing rapidly ( baby/juvenile) then i personally supplement every other meal with limestone flour and then every other meal with nutrobal. its also wise to offer a cuttlefish for them to munch on. keeps the beak trim. Dont forget though that alot of calcium is absolutley useless without a reliable UVB source. so they need outdoor access to get uvb from the sun and/or a good output uvb light indoors.

Thanks, I'll get some lime flour stuff

I knew about the UV bit, I have an all in one basking light on one side of his table.

Edit: No need actually, I read the vitamin powders back, and it has added calcium in it!
