a combined uvb lamp is better by a million times! they produce ALOT more uvb and animals show an increase in feeding, activity and breeding. they really are the revolutionary pet product of the decade. I have lizards and torts that i use them all for and i would never go back to a tube. While the UVB combi is more expensive to set up, it lasts for 2 years, so actually works out cheaper in the longrun.

for a 6x4 table you should go for a 160w to get a good heat projection. Some people say they dont like to use them indoors but i have 4 of them indoors and have zero problems. An exo terra medium clamp lamp is a good holder and reflector for the 160w lamps.

The best place for the best lights has to be:

</title> <meta content="Evrsoft First Page" name="GENERATOR"> </head> <body> </body> </html> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999

Megaray bulbs are proving to be the best lights on the market for tortoises, keepers are seeing the difference in their tortoises when changing from inferior bulbs to the megaray - increases in activity and appetite.

Darren is a respected tortoise keeper and will give you great advise too.

I got my lighting from Darren, he is really helpful. If you have any difficulties you can give him a ring he is really kind. The best by far!

I am using Powersun 160w at the moment but am going to change to Megarays - I am going to put 2 in the outside enclosure - would I need 160w or do they do 100w ?
