Yeah,i saw that on the news last night!!.
On the subject of tortoises being really hardy when we moved into our new house the back garden kept flooding so my Dad decided to dig a sump.Whilst doing this he hit, what he thought, was a german army helmet.Turns out its a horsefield tortoise!!..After warming him up and offering him some dandelion leaves he has lived happily with us for yrs !.However he does dig worms up and eats those instead of any greenery we offer him.!!mad eh?
