I'm not sure who you are asking but yes you need to have a uv and heat lamp. The best place for a tortoise when adult is in an outdoor enclosure with access to uv and heat outside too.

Mine are 2 years old and Marvin is a right wee dare devil, he climbs on everything. He does still topple over and for this reason, I use a towel as the main part of the enclosure because they can get a grip of it and right themselves on it, and it's cheap and easily changed/washed!

Maybe you should try putting things in the cool end for her and if she does flip over she should be able to right herself.
I layed Nanna on her back to take a photo of her plastron and she managed to get herself the right way up before I had even taken the picture! lol

If you have a couple of things in Maudes cool end she should be able to turn herself the right way up by pushing against something with her feet.

And besides-being on their backs is only really dangerous if they are under the heat lamp, if she is in the cool end she should be fine until you spot her or untill she rights herself. I know it is really scary but she should be able to do it ok, maybe they just need a little practice and the more things she has to climb up-the stronger her muscles and balance will become.

I may be talking rubbish so if I am just ignore me. I have had a tortoise for nearly 4 days so am hardly an expert, just trying to be helpful
