Default NEW British Chelonian Group Thread EXCELLENT

Seems the old post went a little off focus, i care about animals lives.

Found here http://www.britishcheloniagroup.org.uk/index.htm

The Britsh Chelonia group is an EXCELLENT CHARITY they do lots of conservation work and their news letter is brilliant, you receive it every two months. I have been a member on and off (student days off) for nearly 10 years, their newsletter contains items for sale and a rehoming section.

IT IS WELL WORTH THE JOINING FEE

They are offen over looked because they are not so interenet based.

Please join and save the tortoises and turtles.

Sarah...I am not hijacking this thread....but....has anyone read the article in the recent annual mag... about RNS and the use of f10 in nasal flushing? Any thoughts from those who may have read it?

I havent read it, and would be interested in doing so. I have some experience of using F10 in various reptiles with respiratory ailments with mixed results.

Have you tried herbal remedies at all? My vet suggested echinacea and not sure if it was my imagination, but it did seem to help my allergic leo a little. I always give it to her when it gets really sticky looking and whether coincidence or not (or maybe she would have picked up anyway) she seems to improve each time.

Sue...I am open to anything...its really upsetting me as she is such a gentle old lady.

She eats, walks high...when she feels like walking! Urine and stools are normal...no worms....nothing on bloods.

She hibernates well....very little weight loss...last year she was 2345 in hibernation and 2344 out!
Drinks well!
Please let me know how you use this....she is very snotty at the moment and have her under megaray with temps up a little.

She lives alone at the moment...my other whitei I have only had for 2 months...she is fine....

Thank you very much for your reply

I tried growing it but none of them would go near it so I crushed up tabs from the health shop and sprinkled them over weeds while they were indoors off threi normal grazing. They did not seem to notice it was there and ate as normal. I crushed a tablet daily and all of the leos ingested some - sorry I cannot be more specific.
