Terry, did you read my response to your question? I only have my vet to go by, so would be interested in your thoughts on what he told me! It's my first time keeping torts!

Thinking that I will definitely keep a record of things in a book and will not bother to pay the fee for the Tortoise Diary software as it seems only one person here uses it and has only just started doing so therefore I have no idea whether or not it is even worth it.

I suppose really it is just a modern way of record keeping-no different to writing it in a book. Think I just liked the idea that it done graphs and you can have a tort ID with 6 pictures of your tortoise. Front, back, left, right, underside and above views.
Worth £15 ?????? Really have no idea. lol

hi i have just received your pm im sorry i was online but the grandchildren arrived so i was distracted lol.please dont think i was trying to be critical of your vet in any way im sure he is far more qualified than i am to advise you about your tortoises health.i do use Jacksons ratio to check animals for hibernation weights and of course i can refer to past records of my own going back a few years .if you want to post accurate straight carapace lengths and weights in grams i will check over past records to see what i have close to yours for comparison ,you can pm me if you prefer i am happy to do it on the forum though no problems.
