Denise, if you purchased your megaray from Darren then he will, no doubt, sort the problem - email him and let him know and he will sort you out!

If you do a search on here you'll find that this happens quite a lot, new bulbs often cut out intermittently like this but eventually settle down after a week or two, it's actually part of a safety feature.
I'm not saying it hasn't blown, but try turning it off for at least 15 minutes then back on and see if it works, if it does then it's obviously not blown! Having said that I think this problem is more common with the 100W bulbs that the 160W ones, have a read of this Mega-Ray | FAQ

I got my replacement bulb on Thursday and it worked fine, yesterday it worked fine, but today nothing. I took the bulb out of the holder and again it has blown!
Would the fact that it is on a timer cause this or do I simply have a bulb from a bad batch?? Am going to send it back again and fingers crossed will get a new one but if it is being on a timer (Ican't think of anything else) then obviously I won't use it anymore. |

I'd check what fuse is in the plug as it could be its overloading. Either that or you've just got very bad luck.
I have seen megarays burn out if tiped on their side while switched on but they normal come back on after about 20minutes afer cooling down. Good luck in getting this sorted.
