Always more females than males. This way its less stressful for the females, when the male is always at it
So three females to one male.

I have 1 male and 4 females - it works really well as the male can be a pest at times !!!

As others have said, 1 male to several females is best, stops the male from pestering a lone female.

This is assuming you want to breed them, if not then either just have 1 or a group of females (you may get fighting if you had a group of males).

I agree they would be nice, but not easy tortoises to get right if you have no experience
