Just feed your turt some egg shell, egg and chicken, cooked low fat beef/mince every now and then. This will give them a nice protein and calcium boost! Again feed sparingly, more so than the bloodworm. So once a week or less. Alternate between beef, chicken and egg. So one week you may feed him chicken, the next week you can feed him a bit of egg and some egg shell. He will only need the tinyest amounts though! As for the catfish. I have some Corydoras in my tank at the moment. The turtles get on fine with them! Never chased them. I would wait a few weeks first though before adding them, as the turtle needs to settle in. Also, get your water tested before you buy any as high nitrites and ammonia do much more damage to fish than turts! Do partial water changes twice weekly up until you buy your fish. Corydoras will only grow about 6cm long so they are ideal. They will help keep your tank clean too! .(Also do not overcrowd your tank, I slightly overcrowded mine with 6 Corydoras. 2 Died. One from overeating and the other from stress. So be careful.)

Egg shell is a good source of calcium for little turtles. In the wild they would scavange off broken eggs. Just break it down into small pieces for them =]. You don't have to feed it too them but it's good for their carapace and bones. You can get free water tests in most aquatics stores as you usually have to provide them with one to buy fish. So I wouldn't bother buying any kits personally. Please do wait at least 1 week and a half for your turtle to settle in before adding fish. I would reccomend adding 2 Corydoras after that time. Although they are much more comfortable in shoals of 4+, but you also don't want to overcrowd your tank.
