What do you mean free in pet stores ,do i bring a bit of water with me or do they have we strips to take home?

Thanks. The closest fish shop is about 5 mile from me and theres always traffic, prob be cheaper buying it rather than waiting in traffic and wasting petrol.

How do you all feed your turts. I dont really want to take him out of the tank as he is only settling in. Do you just drop it in, hold it with tweezers etc?

mine all feed out of my fingers. occasionally they nip my fingers but i soon learnt not to give them chance to lol. all mine feed in there tanks/pond i dont use a seperate tub. i find that picking them up placing them in a tub feeding them to pick them up again to put them back in the tank can be quite stressful for them. some people may disagree with me but thats my personal opinion anyway.

I feed floaty food in the tank and sinky messy food in a separate container (As I have river rocks which the sinky food would just fall between and make a HUGE mess) every 2-3 days. They've gotten used to me handling them from time to time now and crawl into my hand!
