I don't think there are any other breeders who readily sell their Indian stars hatchlings.

You could try going to Wharf reptiles in Pinxton (notts) Thay had some for £295 each - if they have none i'm sure they would order them for you

Yes but they will be wild caught tortoises plucked from the wild, plus you may end up paying more in vets bills if they turn out to be ill. Please dont buy a wild caught tortoise we need to put an end to this.

Think they were captive bred. I don't know a lot about torts - I noticed you say don't keep em in a viv - what do you use? I have seen what are sold as totoise tables - an enclosure with walls high enough to stop smaller species climbing out and a small plank of wood above for lighting. Is this suitable and what about big torts?

I would really look into it, i mean stars are very hard to breed and there are hardly any breeders out there, i really dont think they would give their babies to a pet shop.

Tortoise tables must be used to house tortoises vivariums are death traps.
Please read this: Tortoise Trust Web - Indoor Housing & Vivarium Design

I have converted my garage for my tortoises excuse the mess at the moment having a clear out:

I have dealt with marcus langford for his chameleons and he is a very nice and knowledgeable person and you will get exactly what you pay for - which is high quality captive bred stock.

Just some pointers on indian stars, they are very delicate tortoises.

1. Do not handle offen one a day only to bath, these are wild animals and can stress so easy.
2. Feed a weed diet
3. Use a trex bulb with them a UVB and heat combined.

Some people get very bored of stars because they are so delicate.

Here is one i got yesterday:
