Just wondering, you know some people say you can catch salmonella from lizards and snakes, can tortioses carry it?

well turtles can not sure about tortoises though, its not a problem as long as basic hygene is used

Thanks for your help. I know you can help it by basic hygene but I just wanted to find out if torts can carry it.

Afaik all retiles can carry it? Birds do too, use anti bacterial soap and alcohol gel after handling and you should be OK.

All reptiles can carry it, it only becomes a problem if hygeine is very poor, usually cases are from water dragons, iguanas, basalisks turtles etc, basically those that need large amounts of warm water, which is a perfect breeding ground for the bacteria.
