Default Document in the making for new owners suggestions welcome

Hey guys, well after seeing the same questions popping up quite a bit i'm in the process of writing out a document about tortoise care.. and well i need your guys help.

i still wouldn't consider myself an experienced keeper, but i'm willing to listen and i've been learning quickly.

Anyways my idea for this 'guide' if u will, would be housing requirements for med tortoises to tropical. feeding/husbandry requirements etc. and i was also thinking of including the most commonly kept Torts with information about individual needs.. red foots, horsfields, hermanns, leopards etc

heres where ur help comes in. I dont personally know any breeders of these species.and my idea was to include recommended breeders in the thread, as like a quick stop for new members or even old members to see where to buy them from. hopefully cutting out the need for pet shops. Obviously i can't just post up these guys names without prior permission. SO i was wondering if any of you are breeders yourselves,or know of any breeders who wouldn't mind being listed.

The document is still in early stages, i'm just adding to it as i think of more things that a new tort owner should know..at this rate it'll take up several posts but i just thought it'd make it easier for new/future owners.

I know from personal experience just how hard it is to find the correct information. N if this can help just one person then i'd be very happy.

Open to suggestions of anythin in specific i should include.

Is it a good idea or not? If u think theres no need i'll nip it in the bud now, i just know that i for one am getting sick of sayin NO VIV get a tort table/get em outside or noooo dont use tortoise pellets as they cause rapid growth and problems!!lol, i cant be the only one?

Katie

I have spoke to phoebe about a similar idea (breeders) maybe get in touch with her and Tams, Graham and any other experienced guys you want input from and when sorted I will make it sticky.
