Default Egyptian Tortoises Breeders

Does anyone know any breeders of Egyptian Torts (Testudo Kleinmanni). My female lost her mate about 2 years ago and I would like to replace him.

The only people I know who breed them are part of a satelite breeding programme, in order to protect the species which I understand is in danger.

Perhaps Phoebe knows someone, sorry I could not help.

Yeah they are in danger, I will see what kind of paperwork it takes to get one from the US, I know it is difficult but possible if for breeding.

I know of one breeder, I can get their details if you like. They are expensive and there is a long waiting list for the babies.

Perhaps consider joining the egyptian tortoise studbook. You could then possibly get a mate for your tortoise on loan. Have a look at European Studbook Foundation for more info.

Hi

Any info would be great, I had expected them to be expensive, although I have had mine quite a while it was expensive at the time compared with my Leopards. I will checkout the studbook. Thanks for your help and please pm me with the breeder info.
