Can anybody please advise me on the correct dosage for Panacur 20% horse paste to place on the food. I stomach tubed my redfoots last year but they are so strong and I have to do it on my own so I would prefere to place the paste on the food. Highfield uses weight not volume in his book (which is my bible!) and feeds every 5 days. Can you do a single dose and does anybody know the ammount by volume??
Going out now so I will thank people latter!! Woody xx |

You need a vet to advise you as, anyone else may not qualified to do so.
I used to use 20 to 50 mg per Kg of reptile, depending on what I was worming. You should read this page Medical Misinformation on the Internet and how it can Harm your Tortoise - Chris Tabaka DVM It is very informative. Hope this helps Stephen.

Yes thanks Stephen I will take your advise and ask my vet when he come back from New Zealand. I have already read the link and was disturbed that there is more differences of opinum. I have used Baytril and panacur but Chris now puts yet more doubt in my mind!! I think Andy Highfield did respond to the article, I hate confliting advise but I suppose you need to trust your local vet aswell.
