Like i said before i know some people will start the 'we eat cows' debate, but they ARE killed humanely. It's law in england now that they must be killed as humanely as possible

also dan u said " In western world, we sell live lobsters that are boiled alive". That is no longer true either. The lobster is stabbed through the head, and the knife pulled downwards..which yes sounds more graphic, but causes instant death as to the being boiled alive issue.


I simply posted this petition for those people who feel, like me, that the way tesco go about it is inhumane. Not to mention the risk of extinction of certain species.

Yes i know it's chinese culture to eat all kinds of things, we consider to be taboo..but Tesco is a UK Based company..and they're going against everythin they claim to hold true..just because they're in China and think they can get away from it..n that's the sick thing.

Also can we have enough of the 'turtle soup anyone' posts. If ya don't have anything constructive to post..it's not compulsary,you dont HAVE to post.

N no i wouldn't eat turtle soup either. I'm no longer a veggie, so i'm not gonna be hypocritical..it's not the pure fact they're eatin turtles.it's the manner in which Tesco is dealing with this, and they way in which they are killed (heads yanked from shells..restrained etc), also the risk of extinction.

Anyways. Like i say if u agree then sign the petition..if not then don't. It's simple really. N sorry if i sounded miffed off in this post but i didnt start the topic to start a lengthy moral discussion.i just wanted to make people aware of it.

same as they sell baked beans,black pudding etc over here

I'm sorry but i dont see how cutting the head off a turtle is different from chopping the head from a fish,stabbing a lobster in the head or the slaughter of any other animal commonly eaten in the UK.We sell mussells and oysters live here as thats how people eat them.
I am veggie myself but i dont believe in forcing my views on others and telling them they should not eat meat as i dont expect others to comment on my diet.

I understand how it can seem upsetting to think of turtles in that way,but as was previously said,thats life i'm afraid and yes it does suck!

Simple as.. we're not askin for people to stock the chinese stores with uk food ffs.

Just askin that humans can stop trying to desimate other species!

Also they get the option of taking the turtle home live to kill however they wish...again this could be very stressful for the poor animal.
