1. Any age providing they are provided with a basking spot and the correct uv lighting, is the shed just at night? they will have access to outdoors? as theres no substitute for natural UV. 2. I presume they'll only be locked in the hutch at night? so 4ft by 2 or 3ft should be fine. 3.The best diet for hermanns and horsfields are weeds weeds and more weeds.with the odd wild flower. Tortoises < listt there of some edible weeds. Also visit ebay if you want to buy some suitable seeds here eBay My World - shelledwarriorsshop . Avoid store bought veg and fruit at all costs. the odd bit of cucumber + lettuce to help hydrate in summer is ok..but hermanns n horsfields simply cannnot digest fruit so it can cause all kinds of problems. (seriously upsets the gut flora) 4. you don't Have to keep them inside, if your're getting both tortoises from the same breeder then they shouldn't need quaraniting as such , as u dont have any current tortoises they can interract with. But ensure you thoroughly wash your hands between handling them and any current reptiles you've got. Also try to avoid pet shop tortoises due to the risk of parasite/worm loads. If you want a list of breeders please add me to MSN xxangelktxx@hotmail.com and i'd be more than happy to send you the list I have. Katie |
