Breeding hermanns
Hiya, when i get my hermanns torts, I was going to get two, Is it best to get 3 so as when they are sexually mature, there is a chance of being 1M-2F? Or is 2 better?
Also, if i got 3 and 2 were males, i would have to sell one as they would fight, so would it be less stress on the one i keep to have a friend he has always had? (hope the last bit makes sense)

Would 2:1 be ok though? Well, its better than 1:1.
Anyway, when i cant sex them, should i get 3 or just 2?

If you intend on gettin hatchlings, the only way you can guarantee you won't end up with all males,or more males than females is to quite simply just buy one. If however you bought mature tortoises, perhaps rescues/rehomes..there sex would be definate
