Hiya, search 'shelled warriors' in google, there good. For feeding, it really depends on the breed of the tortoise.

Hello Saff. As tom said it depends on the species of tortoise in regards to the diet.

For example med tortoises such as horsfields, hermanns need a weed diet, and can't have any fruit as it upsets the gut flora...in comparison u have red foots who need fruit, weeds, protein etc..then leopards n sulcata's who thrive on hays n grasses.

If you can find out what species it is you'll be getting we'll be able to help alot more in regards to feeding, and housing.

Tortoise Trust Web - Start Page < possibly one of the most accurate websites around..the founder has dealt with tortoises for over 35 years.

If your really serious about tortoises I think you should do the Tortoise trust course you will really know your stuff then, even if you your not that interestd in torts I think the TT course is a good idea anyway because the tort still needs the right care. before the TT course I was on here asking all questions under the sun now I've nearly finished the course I haven't asked a question in ages!

Hi Saff,

I have Hermanni's, there babys but the care is very much the same as for older one's, this tort guide will be perfect to help you set up for your tort, because it tells you step by step on feeding and housing;www.tlady.clara.net/TortGuide/index.htm

Try these other sites as well for further help;Shelled Warriors :: Index
