before you get grilled id ditch the dried food, hermans eat weeds from the garden. or you can buy seeds to grow your own.

Hi Babygyalsw2,

Yes, Jazzy is very right ditch the dried food, its very bad for your tort, they eat many types of weeds and you should also use a suppliment called Nurrobal.

You can buy the seeds on e-bay, also log on to this link, its a tort guide booklet written by Linda King one of the best experts around, it will answer all the questions you might have and show you step by step how to look after your tort;www.tlady.clara.net/TortGuide/index.htm

and the Tortoise Trust site also very good for info

Tomatoes are a fruit and not recommended for med tortoises, it upsets their gut flora.

Have a look at:

Tortoise Trust Web - Feeding your tortoise

and for those that say that the TT does not give info on hermanns - the hermanns is a med tortoise and covered under that title.
