...a good basking lamp bulb. ive seen a few exo terra ones but wondered what wattage i would need and if there were any better brands for lights?

If its not a uv one you mean then a normal 60w spot light is ok. Its a lot cheaper aswell

I have hermenni's as well, i fined the combined bulbs are the best!

Their are 2 makes that are very good and that is powersun and T-Rex both of which you can get fron this guy;Kimbos Reptile World

The good thing about them is that they provide the U.V. and the heat they need, as for size it depends on how big your in enclouser is,
i use a 100watt for mine and gives the temp they require, here is a pic of my in enclouser to give you an idea;
It measures 3foof 6 inches by 2 foot,
