i bought my male 6 months ago from a friend who needed to rehome asap,, i paid a small fortune even tho i couldnt afford it at the time but didnt want them to just stick it in the ad trader to anyone who came along, it had no equipment and i was afraid it woulld be sold unwisely as he wasnt even checking
well the thing is i knew he had a cert for it but diddnt read it properly till i read your checklist and although my little guy ticcks all the health etc the cert says hes from slovenia why is this bad should there be somethin i should know i know he got it from a respectable uk tortoise supplier and it seems healthy enough and very full of life and personality whats the prob with slovenian im quite worried now |

i got two torts about a week ago now from a breeeder off this website, both two years old, the male is smaller than all the other torts he brought for us to look at, he is 2 inches and all the rest were 3 inches, my sis chose him cos she thought he was cute and very active and energetic, which is all good because he is and he eats well too. BUT the female i got even though bigger at 3 inches is not so energetic, she just sleeps a lot and moves a lot slower which at first i thought is prob because she is larger maybe can't go as fast but the male is eating every day and the female hasn't eaten since i got them (5days now) except for a a bite out of a dandelion when i tried hand feeding her! what should i do!!! i asked my teacher at college today as i am doing animal care and she said i have to weigh them every day whilst they are small untill about 5-6inches, i didn't know this and will start as of today but how can i get her to eat!
