i wouldnt get a hatchling hermann if it is your first tortoise, get an older one if its your first

Phew you sure can be relied on to come out with some poo Andy! I have never ever had a hatchling die. The only ones dead that I have bred are ones not being cared for as agreed. It was very upsetting to have someone contact me and say :I found it dead in it's viv' and 'it either fell out of the window or got lost in the rubbish after leaving it unsupervised.'

Check out the tortoise protection group database where theres a list of breeders. I think theres one in Cheshire.
