Hemcore is treated with Citronella, it smells nice and is a natural insect repellent but I'm not sure if it would be safe for torts.

I use Hemcore for my chickens, but I use Aubiose which is untreated for my Cornsnake.

So is this much better than the straw pellet stuff you get for tortoises? And does anyone use that tortoise life stuff? Its like a sandy gritty mix. There seems to be so many things available its all rather confusing!
