That'll be fine, all I needed to know was it's a Mercury Vapour lamp, those lamps are reflectors (they have a silvered back) so the clamp lamp is simply acting as a protective shade, it's not actually reflecting any light.

Just fit the bulb and it'll be OK.

Out of interest what wattage is the bulb and what size Clamp Lamp did you get?

8.5 inch with a 100 w bulb.

A megaray has come through with a powersun bulb(100w), clamp lamp and thermometer coming 2moro.

Which bulb should i use?

Personally I'd use the MegaRay and return the Powersun if you can.

No you don't need to, as I said the bulb itself is a reflector!
