Default Nettles

Hi all,

I was in a shop and over heard someone saying that Hermans can eat nettles.

We try to let our garden suit nature and have wild sections and don't use chemicals we have some nettles I would like to know if they can eat them.
I use the special seed mixes plus weeds in the garden that they can eat, It would add a bit more veriety??.

Thanks

slither61

as far as I am aware they can eat them, but not often as they have high oxlatic (sp) levels or something.

mine get them as an occasional treat, as jason said they are quite high in oxhalic acid. but deemo goes mad for them, so gets them very occasionally.
