not sure hun, i'm sure there was a thread on here a while back but i'll have to dig around for it..
if it is some people use 100-150w floods n spots dont they.i'll try finding thread i'm probably wrong tbh lol just what i was told n i had a vague recollection of a thread on here [edit] Petition to Keep Lightbulbs < the petition link

Ceramic bulbs are great for extra heat and for night time heat.
I cannot remember reading a post where its states your were wrong using them, if you were only using them then yes its it wrong.

Ceramic bulbs are good for heating overnight, but a med tortoise would be much better off with a light-emmiting bulb.
Not sure about redfoots- as I dont know anything about tropical species, but they need to know the difference between night and day, so UVB and an over head lamp would be alot better for providing a basking spot. |
