Default Condensation in new home....

HI all...

Well the Red Eared ( not yellow bellied ) terrapins now have a new home. Much larger than the last one. I have taken alot of advice on board so they now have the correct lighting, correct food, correctly conditioned water and like I said a much bigger tank.

The problem I am having now is that the glass at the top of the tank ( not submerged ) is fogging up. Is there a trick to keep it clear? Am i missing yet another peice of kit or is this just the way it will be?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

If you have condensation then I assume you have a lid/hood on the tank?

Take it off! Turt tanks need to be completely open-topped, otherwise the high humidity created can cause serious respiratory problems (RI).

Can you post some photos of your new setup?

I want photos too! I don't keep any turtles but I think they are beautiful animals.
