Yes it would be great if some pet shop can take their torts out of vivs and place them in this type of set up as it is more secure. I understand why they can not use tables as the theiving local toerags would have a field day.

tortoise_dude, I agree with you, that last pic is good, he staked his claim on that hot spot, and stayed there for some time basking...T.T.



PS. I'm just a doddery old tort keeper...what do I know!

Acouple of us have visited local garden centres to get them to use this sort of housing. They are as easy as a viv to lock and show the torts to their best advantage in a seettled environment instead of climbing the walls trying to escape the false heat. All we need now is to stop them feeding the dreaded pellets.

Agreed, the companies have done a lot for reptile keeping (rain system, active uv ect) but the food and pellet in the cans are a problem and I will always urge people not to use them.
