I have to add that since he has been with me he is a diff torty. He is brighter and more alert now i think that he is gunna be just fine.
No one has said if the substrate and habitat are ok yet. I hope they are

no not to much at all. is his water dish shallow and large enough to sit in? If not u may want to replace it, as i quite often catch mine sitting in the waterbowl.. don't be put off if they defecate in the bowl its perfectly natural.

also did you say sawdust? If so can I make the suggestion that you get him off that, it's very dusty and bitty..he's likely to have a nibble. You're told to avoid sawdust with most animals as it can cause irritated eyes and respirtory infections. n sawdust isnt similar to hemp jason

can't say i've used it with torts myself, but better to be safe than sorry. If you want to have a different substrate in the table?(presume he's in atable?) then hemp is fabulous..also known as hemcore and aubiose.

Thanks i will swap that end to hemp then i wasn't sure what to put in the bed end so it would be diff He only had sawdust and newspaper when i picked him up.
His water bowl is big enough for him to get in coz i read that they like to do that sometimes but he hasn't yet.
I was just wondering would it be ok to give him daisies as a treat coz i .just noticed a few are poppin up in garden.
