I would find a good tortoise vet and take the tort to see them, it may be an abcess, but I don't really know.

nope pic hasn't worked.

the 'bedding' aka substrate should be top soil/play sand mix of 60/40 respectively. Hemp (aka hemcore, aubiose) is also suitable but is the second choice after the top soil mix.

please get him off sawdust as it's very dusty and can irritate eyes etc. Also i'd remove the hay for bedding as well, I presume its a hermanns or a horsfield you own?
If it's any species other than one of the africans (leopards, sulcata's) if they decide to eat the hay it could cause problems as they're not designed to deal with the high silica content. Could also harbor mould spores?

no tortoise should be fed just what you are feeding though. Med species horsfields, hermanns etc require fully weed and flower based diets. Cucumber has little to no nutritional value, tho is ok as a hydrating treat in summer.the majority of lettuces also have very low nutritional content, Romaine lettuce is supposed to be quite good though...

there are some stickies at the top of the page. One on their care (if it is a med tortoise you have? confirmation would be great)and one with illustrations of suitable weeds.

They also need daily calcium suppliments on their weeds , and nutrobal given daily for growing tortoises and 4 times for adults.

to upload a picture you host it on a website like photobucket. you can sign up for free. then you copy the very bottom link which will look something like this without the spaces
