Default Does this sound about right?

Hi

Im just after a little reassurance and guidance as to whether our tortoise is gaining weight at a good rate. We have a 2.5 year old Spur thighed tort, length is 80 mm and weight is 70 grams. Does this sound about right? we weigh him every week and his weight has been going up very gradually, no big fluctuations to speak of!

When you think that their hatch weight is around 15 grams, that is more than four times the birth weight so not underweight at all. Torts grown too fast invariably have health problems. I would say the weight is fine. JMHO though

Agreed. sounds fine, keep weighing it and as long as its eating and gaining you will be fine. Whats it eating?
