anythign that will fit in their mouths and they can catch they will eat I think. I also imagine that if there were fish in there they could not catch they would be constantly trying.

It's not a simple question to answer. I've seen plenty of adult YBS living with fish without touching them, most turts become more vegetarian as they grow older so less likely to bother with fish, especially if they are well fed otherwise and have no need to eat them. Generally speaking young turts would be more likely to have a go at them than older ones.
It may also depend on the size and species of fish, with smaller fish being more likely to get eaten simply because big ones are harder to tackle. Having said that a number of turts will often work together to corner and kill a large fish.
Tank size and population is also a factor, fish will likely survive longer in a big tank with few turts than they would in a small overcrowded one.
If it's something you want to try then go ahead, just make sure you try them out on some fish that you don't really care about before offering them your prize Koi!

I think most of them will do that rather than hunt!

There's a pond centre near me that has lots of RES, a couple of YBS, and a Map in a large outdoor pond, they are all large adult turts and share the pond with some large goldfish and Koi which they never touch.

When I was there last summer there was a dead fish in the pond, nothing to do with the turts it had just died from something else, but it was floating there and they didn't even go for that! I think they are just so well fed that they can't be bothered.

Even if well fed they will eat anything placed in with them from fake plants to fish 2x their size , mine ate all my neons but thats what they were there for in the first place .
