Default tort temps

whats the ideal temps hot/cold end day and night for my herman
and the ideal humidity %
in *C thanks

30 degrees hot end and whatever normal house temps drop to at the other, with no overnight heating. Humidity is not critical in a house situation so long as bathing is done regularly or a bath is provided in the run. Outdoors humidity of normal garden is fine with the option of a dryer heated area for choice.

dont ue stats with torts, the flickering of the bulb upsets them.

it will be way to hot if i use all the power of a bulb plus the heat radiated of the uv

do you have a pic of your set up?

Never ever use a dimmerstat. It confuses torts, They should be able to choose their own temps at all times as in the wild.

If your torts are in an open setup with correct arangements giving a hotspot and cool end then it will not overheat.UVB does not generate basking heat.

LOL - I just thought it was a crafty ad.
My son sticks pics of his car on things too. I keep telling him it's just a car (then I make a quick exit).
